ZEIT-ZEITLOESIGKEIT
The projects ZEIT and ZEITLOESIGKEIT are based on pictures the artist took in cemeteries in Halle an der Saale (Germany), where she studied. Her work describes the perception we have of time.
“On entering a cemetery we’re suddenly able to hear our own steps. In ordinary life, we are used to a frenetic and defined rhythm, but walking through a graveyard, everything is getting slowly. Time is marked by nature and seasons, plants are growing around the statues and natural elements are changing them, making them paradoxically alive.”
